Our MAT Program combines behavioral therapy with Suboxone or Subutex to treat substance use disorders. Our comprehensive approach allows our doctors to treat the underlying traumas and causes of substance abuse while preparing patients for the life long process of long term recovery from addiction. We Now have facilities in both Charleston, WV and Huntington, WV. Suboxone is a opioid receptor blocker that allows an individual to become emotionally and intellectually stable to better engage in our program which combines comprehensive behavioral therapy and our peer support team.
Individualized treatment plans allow the individual to recover in a way that is the best fit for them emotionally, socially, and cognitively. The individualized therapy program may include One-on-One Therapy, Group Therapy, Relapse Preventions Group Therapy, and our Intensive Outpatient Program. There may be some overlap in treatment such as attendance at 12-step meetings or group therapy; however, the treatment plan should encompass the unique situation of each person. This may include individualized therapy plans with a therapist that can address specific psychological or behavioral issues. Our therapy staff are ready to talk with you!
Peer support is the “process of giving and receiving encouragement and assistance to achieve long-term recovery.” Peer supporters “offer emotional support, share knowledge, teach skills, provide practical assistance, and connect people with resources, opportunities, communities of support, and other people” (Mead, 2003; Solomon, 2004). In behavioral health, peers offer their unique lived experience with mental health conditions to provide support focused on advocacy, education, mentoring, and motivation.
